Terrorist Abedi ‘likely didn’t act alone’

British authorities have said it is likely the Manchester bomber, Salman Abedi, was not acting alone. Authorities say Abedi had returned to Britain from Libya only days before carrying out Monday night’s suicide attack that killed 22 people. He was born in Britain and was of Libyan origin. Three people have been arrested today in connection with attack, bringing the number of detained to four. The terror threat level in Britain has been raised to its highest level of "critical", meaning more attacks may be imminent, and up to 3,800 troops deployed to protect key sites. British interior minister Amber Rudd: “The intelligence services and the police are pursuing their leads in order to make sure that they get all the information, and reduce therefore the risk, that they need to keep us all safe.” London has criticised United States secret services for releasing Abedi’s name before British police were ready, as they investigated his contacts. Meanwhile relatives of at least a dozen people say they remain unaccounted for following the attack, while more than 20 of the injured remain in critical condition.
