70 Jahre wäre der 1981 verstorbene Robert Nesta Marley am heutigen Tag geworden. Der jamaikanische Sänger, Gitarrist und Songwriter gilt als einer der Mitbegründer und bedeutendsten Vertreter des Reggae. Diese Musikform entstand Ende der 1960er Jahre unter dem Einfluss US-amerikanischer Musikformen wie Soul und R&B aus den unmittelbaren jamaikanischen Vorläufern Ska und Rocksteady. Das musikalische Erbe Bob Marleys lebt als unvergänglicher Bestandteil der Popgeschichte weiter.
