US debate “ugliest ever”

The United States presidential candidates Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump have traded bitter accusations in their second debate. Trump called Clinton the devil and said if he won office he would imprison her. He apologised for remarks that emerged in a video last week in which he bragged about getting away with sexual harassment of women, before accusing Clinton's husband, former President Bill Clinton, of gross sexual misconduct: “If you look at Bill Clinton, far worse, mine were words and his was action. What he’s done to women, there’s never been anyone in the history of politics in this nation that’s been so abusive to women.” Clinton said his remarks about women show he is unfit to be president, and called on America to reject Trump’s divisive tactics. “He has also targeted immigrants, African Americans, Latinos, people with disabilities, POWs, Muslims, and so many others. The question our country must answer is that this is not who we are.” Analysts have called it the ugliest encounter in the history of American presidential debates.

Police had found explosives when they raided his apartment in Chemnitz. Albakr was reportedly arrested after a fellow Syrian contacted the authorities.
