INHERITED ARCHITECTURE IN VIENNA

WHO WE ARE
We are INHERITED. We are two city planners and an architect exploring the city and trying to explain why our city looks the way it does and what ideas influenced its appearance. We believe that our approach can help to understand a nature of the city itself and even contribute to sustainable city planning, because in order to create a future inherited city, we have to understand its past.
ABOUT
We got our cities inherited, but their creators forgot to attach an instruction on how to understand them. It is hidden on the building’s facades, that seem to be silent, but only at first glance.
This film is about three iconic architecture ideas of the XX century by Adolf Loos, Le Corbusier and Victor Gruen and how these ideas live nowadays in Vienna.
Flat building‘s facade, straight concrete roads and shopping malls -- that what we inherited from the past, but were these ideas embodied in a way they were originally thought to be?
