Windmill restoring and museum in Ukraine
31. Dezember 2021, 20:20
I am Denys Kabanenko, head of the non-profit public organization School of Robotics «Forward to the Future», located at Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine.
Our team plans to restore and make an acting museum of cultural heritage Windmill built by the Mennonite Germans in 1888, located in the Zaporizhzhya region, Ukraine.
In August 2021, thanks to grant opportunity program I-portunus by European Community our team visited the UNESCO Museum Kinderdijk Windmill Region at the Netherlands, where we met with miller community.
After the visit, we already made a model of the windmill with mechanisms and prepared a preliminary reconstruction project.
We hope that this museum will become a national symbol of Ukraine as an agricultural grain country.
It will also become a popular tourist point for Ukrainian and international visitors.
There is no future without history.
