Government sources say rebel fighters opened fire on one convoy of buses, while the opposition says they came under fire from militias supporting the Syrian regime. Over 6,000 people have left the city since Thursday, but the United Nations says at least 50,000 are still trapped.

Intelligence agencies say they have overwhelming evidence that Russian hackers linked to the Kremlin were behind the hacks on the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton´s campaign manager. The law stops far short of the upper limits on immigration that Swiss voters had demanded in a 2014 referendum. Most MPs feared that curtailing the free movement of people could endanger enhanced Swiss access to the EU single market.
