Interior Minister Marco Minniti said Amri was killed in Milan at 3am today after he shot at two police officers who had seen him acting suspiciously and requested his ID. Police sources have said Amri has been identified by his fingerprints as the Berlin suspect. Minister Minniti: “After all the investigations into this case were carried out, the person killed was found to be without any shadow of doubt, Anis Amri, the alleged suspect in the Berlin terror attack.” The gun used by Amri in the Milan shootout was reportedly the same as that used in the Berlin attack. Italian authorities have said Amri travelled to Italy by train via France. The police officer shot by Amri was not fatally wounded.
