41 killed in Istanbul airport attack
Turkish officials say the death toll has now risen to 41 after three suicide bombers attacked Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul. The number of those injured has climbed to 239. Several foreign nationals were among the victims. The attackers reportedly arrived in a taxi and began firing at the terminal entrance, detonating their explosives after police returned fire. Turkey's Prime Minister Prime Minister Binali Yildirim says the so-called Islamic State group appears to be responsible. The attack on Europe's third-busiest airport is one of the deadliest in a series in Turkey over the past year.
Turkey and Russia seek to ease tensions
It´s being reported that the Turkish and Russian presidents, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin, have agreed to meet in person, following a telephone call earlier today. EU leaders meet without Britain
European Union leaders are meeting without Britain for the first time in over 40 years, following last week´s referendum in which voters opted to leave the bloc. The 27 remaining heads of government are in Brussels for the second day of a summit, with the focus on what the EU will look like without Britain. The British Prime Minister David Cameron left Brussels on Tuesday night, after EU leaders had rejected his pleas for favourable conditions once Britain leaves. But Cameron said that trade and security co-operation would be vital whatever the future links: "While Britain is leaving the European Union, it will not, it should not, and in my view it won´t turn its back on Europe." The president of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker will reportedly meet Scotland´s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon later today. She´s already held talks with the European Parliament President Martin Schulz, and says Scotland is determined to stay in the EU.

The Italian navy says it has recovered a ship that sank off Sicily last year with an estimated 700 people on board in one of the worst known tragedies of the Mediterranean migration crisis. Forensic experts will then begin trying to identify the victims.
