Mit der Tripple-LP "The Daptone Super Soul Revue - Live at the Apollo" feiert das New Yorker Label "Daptone Records" am ersten Oktober sein 20. Gründungsjubiläum. Aufgezeichnet wurde das Live-Album 2014 im berühmten Apollo Theatre in Harlem. An drei ausverkauften Konzertabenden, teilten sich dort die mittlerweile verstorbenen Modern Soul-Ikonen Charles Bradley und Sharon Jones die Bühne mit den Dap-Kings - der Hauskapelle des Labels - der Gospel-Queen Naomi Shelton, der New Yorker Afro-Beat-Formation Antibalas, der Budos Band, der Menahan Street Band, den Sugarman 3, dem Soul-Duo Saun & Starr und den Como Mamas. Mit diesem Line-Up präsentiert das Album "The Daptone Super Soul Revue" eine bereits historische Leistungsschau des Produktionshauses Daptone, das seit 2001 für authentischen Vintage-Sound aus den Richtungen Soul, Funk und Gospel steht.
