Am 6. Februar 2025 jährt sich der Geburtstag des 1981 verstorbenen Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley zum 80. Mal. Der Jamaikaner gilt als der wichtigste Vertreter und Mitbegründer der Reggae-Musik und wurde mit seiner Band The Wailers ab Mitte der 1970er Jahre weltweit bekannt. "Get Up, Stand Up", "I Shot the Sheriff" oder "No Woman, No Cry" sind ein paar der bekanntesten und erfolgreichsten Songs von Bob Marley & The Wailers.
Am 23. September 1980 gab Bob Marley sein letztes Konzert im Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh, USA - knapp acht Monate vor seinem frühen Tod infolge einer Krebserkrankung. Er bewarb sein damals aktuelles Album "Uprising", die Konzertaufnahme tauchte erst im Jahr 2000 wieder auf und wurde schließlich 2011 veröffentlicht. In Concert präsentiert diese historische Dokument einer Ikone der globalen Popmusik.
