Im Juli 1982 präsentierte die US-amerikanische Jazzmusikerin Carla Bley mit ihrer zehnköpfigen Band beim Jazzfestival in Wiesen ein funkiges Konzert mit Musik aus der Feder der Bandleaderin.

Carla Bley, die ihre Band von der Orgel aus leitete, hatten ihren Partnern die Solisten-Rollen auf den musikalischen Leib geschneidert, das Publikum feierte die Musiker und ihre Bandleaderin enthusiastisch. Eine musikalische Feierstunde, nun auf LP nachhörbar.
