Eine Premiere war am 27. Juli 2019 im Rahmen des Festivals Glatt & Verkehrt in Krems zu erleben: Das junge zypriotische Trio "Monsieur Doumani", bestehend aus Antonis Antoniou (Gesang, sechssaitige Tzouras), Angelos Ionas (Gitarre) und Demetris Yiasemides (Posaune, Flöte) stand erstmals mit zwei bekannten Szene-Größen Griechenlands auf der Bühne: Mit Stathis Kalyviotis (Laute, Loops) einerseits und der 63-jährigen Kristi Stassinopoulou andererseits - letztere bekannt als Sängerin zwischen Musical, Pop und Volksmusik. Sie hat ihr Land anno 1983 beim Eurovision Song Contest vertreten, und gemeinsam mit Duopartner Kalyviotis Ende der 1980er Jahre auf der Dodekanes-Insel Karpathos die traditionellen Lieder und Tänze Griechenlands für sich entdeckt.
In einigen zu fünft intonierten Liedern entspann sich bei Glatt & Verkehrt ein generationenverbindender Dialog, davor und danach präsentierte Monsieur Doumani, aktuell eine hoch gehandelte Aktie im europäischen World-Music-Zirkus, seine freigeistigen, von Jazz bis süditalienischer Pizzicata beeinflussten Eigenkompositionen und Volksliedbearbeitungen.
